Stone-Washed French Linen Flat Sheet, 100% Flax
One very good flat sheet. Under the duvet in winter, on its own through summer — the nights when a duvet is too hot but you still want something over you.
- 100% pure French flax, stone-washed — not a linen-look cotton blend
- 100 thread count, woven for durability rather than a big number on the label
- Genuinely cooler than cotton on a warm night, because flax wicks moisture instead of holding it
- Ten colourways
- Softens with every wash rather than thinning
A word on thread count
High thread counts belong to cotton, where thin fibres are packed tightly together. Linen fibres are thicker and stronger, so a good linen sheet sits around 100. A linen sheet advertising 800 thread count is not telling you what you think it is.
Which size do I need?
240 × 260 cm suits a UK double (135 × 190 cm mattress) with a generous tuck. 260 × 280 cm suits a UK king (150 × 200 cm mattress).
Looking after it
Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or line dry. Linen is meant to crease — press it only if you want the formal look. Avoid fabric softener.
The same sheet is £80 to £140 from British linen brands.
